Diversity and inclusion (D&I) extends beyond the parameters of race, culture, and ethnicity. In the increasingly interconnected association industry, variety in thought and experience among leaders, volunteers, and staff contributes significantly to organizational innovation and growth, making D&I a business imperative. The workforce needs to encompass differences in gender, age, culture, race, ethnicity, and sexuality if organizations are to succeed.
