Chief Meetings/Conventions Officer

Provides overall strategic and operational leadership of the organization’s conventions and meetings activities. In some organizations, may be responsible for tradeshows and expositions. May work closely with volunteer committees. May also serve as part of the executive team or have organizational responsibilities in other areas.
Median base salary: $142,000

Meetings/Convention Director

Directs the planning and execution of organization’s meetings, including logistics, vendor relations, and contract negotiations. Works with staff and volunteers to coordinate scheduling of educational programs and industry events throughout the year. At larger organizations, may report to a Chief Meetings/Convention Officer.
Median base salary: $95,200

Meeting Planner

Administers and coordinates annual meetings, seminars, and/or board meetings for the organization. May be involved with site selection, registration, participant accommodations, and event planning.
Median base salary: $67,833

Conference/Meeting/Expo Coordinator

Works as an assistant and/or in a clerical capacity supporting the meetings and/or exposition staff.
Median base salary: $52,750

Exhibit Sales Representative

Sells booth space at the organization’s conventions, tradeshows, and/or expositions.
Median base salary: $77,713
