A Strategic Way to Fill Talent and Resource Gaps at a Small-Staff Association

Whenever an employee leaves, skills and talent go out the door. At a small-staff association, that loss can have a big impact. The Network Advertising Initiative recently conducted a skills-gap analysis and now better understands how its talent aligns with its mission and how it can be prepared if staff turnover occurs.

One of the great aspects of an association with a lean staff structure is that there is little bureaucracy, allowing the staff to be nimble and responsive. However, obvious challenges also abound, such as when a key staff member with significant responsibility decides to leave.
