I Can't Live Without My … Skype for Business

This easy-to-use, one-on-one communication tool syncs with Office programs. Gretchen Steenstra of Delcor Technology Solutions shares how it helps her in her day-to-day communication.

“While none of the tools within the Skype for Business package are unique, it has all the basics I need for day-to-day communication. For example, if I have a quick question and don’t want to send an email, call, or text, I can send a Skype message. The screen-share option is a lifesaver. I use this on a regular basis to review edits or drafts of information with colleagues, and the program allows you to add multiple participants to a chat or presentation without having to fire up another screen-sharing tool.

“In the age of multiple apps and logins, I like to have one tool that knows who I am when I log in, integrates with other Office tools, and has most of the basic functionality I need to communicate with my colleagues.”
