Monthly donations lead to more total giving, according to a study of nonprofit fundraising efforts.
Something about breaking a payment into 12 smaller parts makes a larger total payment a lot more palatable. In a survey of 84 nonprofit organizations, fundraising and advocacy firm M+R found monthly giving grew by 32 percent in 2014, compared to 9 percent for one-time giving. Even more interesting are the average gift amounts.
