Allyship, Implicit Bias, and Microaggressions part of the ASAE DEIA and Conscious Inclusion Micro-Credentials Program. This micro-credential focuses on identifying implicit bias and micro-aggressions, how they affect work within associations, and how to be a good ally.
Learning Objective: This micro-credential will focus on bolstering the understanding of association professional in how implicit biases and micro-aggressions affect work and communication internally and with members, and how association professionals can be allies and a support for communities suffering from biases and micro-aggressions.
Learning Outcomes:
- Recognize how implicit biases lead to micro-aggressions.
- Define and apply the power of allyship as an association leader.
- Identify actions that can be implemented in everyday association operations to combat bias and micro-aggressions.
- Modify practices to ensure a transformation to a system that focuses on inclusion.
