Ashley Turner is an accomplished accreditation and compliance leader with extensive experience in continuing education, regulatory compliance, and program development. She currently serves as the Director of Accreditation and Compliance at the American Psychiatric Association (APA), overseeing Joint Accreditation for all APA educational activities and managing accreditation for over 75 external organizations through the APA Joint Provider Program. Under her leadership, APA has successfully maintained Joint Accreditation, expanded interprofessional education programs, and enhanced compliance with ACCME, ANCC, ACPE, and other accreditation standards.

Previously, Ashley was the Manager of Quality Assurance and Special Projects at the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA). She evaluated accreditation standards, developed compliance policies, and coordinated nursing program applications and site visits. Before that, she served as Office Manager at Glen Echo Surgery Center and Medical Front Office Supervisor at Capital Digestive Care, where she optimized operations, improved patient services, and implemented cost-saving measures.

Ashley’s background also includes service as a Human Resource Specialist in the United States Active National Guard, where she managed payroll, benefits, and personnel readiness.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus and has completed professional development programs, including the ASAE Certificate Program in Association Management, ASAE ReadyMe Program, and ASAE NextGen Leadership.

With expertise in accreditation standards, project management, and association leadership, Ashley is committed to advancing compliance frameworks, fostering interprofessional education, and driving continuous improvement in accreditation and continuing education programs.
