ESSENTIAL ECONOMIC UPDATE - MID-YEAR 2025

Date & Time: June 12 from 1-2 pm ET

Description:

How do associations maintain their investment goals with market changes in 2025? Join Fiducient Advisors, an ASAE-endorsed investment firm, to learn about the current investment landscape and where it’s headed. Heading into 2025, there are three key macro-economic and investment themes: Fragility, Durability, and the Age of Alpha.

  • Fragility: Stretched equity valuations, concentrated markets, and the potential for reignited inflation could sow the seeds of economic and market volatility.
  • Durability: Thoughtful diversification and an emphasis on quality are essential to building durability in your association investment portfolios.
  • Age of Alpha: Opportunities in active management and alternative strategies are highlighted as areas for disproportionate returns.

On the economic front, the following themes presented themselves at the start of the year:

  • Economy in First Gear: The economy has been growing, but numerous exist that could push us to great economic growth or contraction.
  • New Administration: Much had been said on the campaign trail of what was to come, however the risks skew to the upside of inflation as the administration pursues a growth forward policy platform.

As we approach the midpoint of 2025, how have these themes held up? What do the risks look like now regarding the markets and inflation? Could we be headed for a potential recession in late 2025 or 2026?
