It really is possible to add immense value through values. This interactive session explores values-based leadership through two effective (and free) assessments. Through the lens of the VIA and SCARF assessments—and other best practices that we will discuss together—participants will: 

  • discover their most cherished values or character strengths
  • explore how to leverage those values to amplify professional impact
  • keep an eye out for values that do not get as much emphasis in their lives, and implications for the workplace
  • gain new insight on how to lead with values. 

All participants are asked to complete the two assessments (about 45 minutes total) in advance and to come prepared with their reports to discuss. Any information administrators collect is for research purposes only. If you do not feel comfortable completing the assessments, they are optional.

    • Vik Kapoor

      Vik Kapoor is a millennial coach in private practice, with a client list on 5 continents that spans most major industries. During the pandemic he has been building peer coaching programs in 40 countries for three United Nations agencies (UNDP, UN Women, and UNFPA). Vik is on the coaching faculty at Georgetown University's School of Business and is writing a book on how to coach yourself. He was previously the Ombuds at FEMA and an adjunct professor of dispute resolution at Howard University School of Law. He has also been active on the Council of the American Bar Association's Section of Dispute Resolution. Vik loves nerding out on values and is grateful for your involvement in this session.

Refunds cannot be approved for no-shows. Substitutions are gladly accepted at any time. Badge sharing, splitting, and reprints are strictly prohibited.

      Event Cancellation or Postponement

      ASAE reserves exclusive right to modify, postpone/reschedule or cancel programs for any reason, including but not limited to emergency, inclement weather or other 'acts of God'. If there is an event cancellation, every attempt will be made to reschedule, and registration fees will be applied to the rescheduled event date. Any travel, lodging, or incidental expenses incurred related to a cancelled event cannot be refunded under any circumstances. If a cancelled event cannot be rescheduled, ASAE will determine an equitable basis for the refund of a portion or all of the registration fees, after due consideration of circumstances and expenditures.

      Consent to Use of Photographic Images

      Registration and attendance at, or participation in, ASAE meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to the use and distribution of the registrant or attendees' image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes of such events and activities by ASAE and other third parties, including but not limited the venue, the host city and the host CVB.
