ASAE Launches Successful Pilot Version Of Xperience Design Project

ASAE hosted a successful pilot for their newest event, Xperience Design Project (XDP) on December 16. The exclusive, one-day, sneak peek of XDP was at the Gaylord National® Resort & Convention Center, and it brought together more than 80 association meeting, marketing, programming, and technology professionals as well as industry partners to test and fine-tune the new format. The inaugural event, May 23-24, 2017, will attract upwards of 1,800 total guests.

ASAE Foundation Names Five Universities to Receive Scholarly Research in Association Management Grants

ASAE Foundation announces five university programs have received research grants as part of the Scholarly Research in Association Management Grants Program (SRGP). The SRGP will provide lead investigators with funds to conduct research on a cross-section of questions relevant to nonprofit membership and member-based associations. Each award is for one year, at a level of $7,500—with the funding period beginning mid-September.

ASAE Board Approves Budget, New Diversity + Inclusion Initiatives

Before the 2016 ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition, August 13-16, in Salt Lake City, the ASAE Board adopted a Diversity + Inclusion advocacy and policy model and approved new contract language for future events. The board also received updates on the major strategic initiatives, new AssociaMetrics platform, and passed the budget, which includes Fiscal Year 2017 (FY 17) Program of Work and specific projects in all areas of ASAE and the ASAE Foundation.

ASAE Names 2016-2018 DELP Class

DELP is a two-year program that supports individuals from under-represented identity groups to advance into the ranks of leadership in the association management profession. DELP scholars participate in an accelerated leadership program of education, mentoring, and volunteer service in the association community.
