WASHINGTON- In August, the Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) will celebrate 15 years at ASAE’s Annual Meeting & Exposition in Detroit. Twelve scholars have been selected as the class of 2015–2017. DELP is a two-year program which includes a dynamic learning experience preparing the scholars for future leadership roles.

DELP provides individuals from underrepresented segments of the association community an opportunity to advance into the ranks of leadership in the association profession by offering access to ASAE educational programs, career guidance, mentoring, volunteer service, and networking opportunities.

“The DELP program is a great opportunity for association professionals to enhance their knowledge and leadership skills as well as prepare them for future opportunities in association management,” said ASAE President and CEO John H. Graham IV, FASAE, CAE. “Congratulations to the new DELP class.”

DELP is exclusively sponsored by the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau (DMCVB), who is also an ASAE Strategic Partner.

Graham added, “Thank you to the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau for supporting the DELP program for 15 years. It has resulted in developing diverse + inclusive leaders throughout the association industry.”
