ASAE Names Debra Zabloudil, FACHE, as Vice President of Learning

January 4, 2022

WASHINGTON— Debra Zabloudil, FACHE, has joined ASAE as vice president of learning, effective January 3, ASAE President and CEO Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE, announced today.

Zabloudil has deep experience in learning and instructional design. After leading a successful educational consulting firm, The Learning Studio, for the past 17 years, Debra brings her multi-faceted skills and experience to the association community through this critical leadership position. During her years serving clients in the association space, Debra provided expert advice in education strategy, offered a catalog of leadership and management courses for associations, and designed programming for clients across the world.

Prior to launching The Learning Studio, Zabloudil served in a number of senior learning positions with the Association Forum, The Joint Commission and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

“ASAE is thrilled to welcome Debra Zabloudil to our staff team,” Mason said. “Debra’s world-class expertise will enhance ASAE’s capacity to deliver the innovative learning experiences that association professionals need in today’s rapidly changing world. ASAE’s strategy, which is focused on delivering learning via omni-channel platforms, will give ASAE stakeholders more options than ever to access timely, relevant content and connect with our community and culture.”

With such a broad perspective on association program design, serving associations directly and through consulting, Debra will hit the ground running at ASAE, where she will focus on building a talented learning team to develop and deliver content for some of ASAE’s signature events including MMCC and the Annual Meeting, as well as new initiatives. Like every association learning professional post-pandemic, she will work with the ASAE leadership team and volunteers to create just the right balance of in-person and digital learning for ASAE’s market.  The potential to serve the needs of this audience has never been greater.

“I am thrilled to be joining ASAE at this pivotal time and having the opportunity to contribute more directly to an organization that has been central to my life and career,” Zabloudil said. “Working with leaders in the association profession has been my passion for decades, and there is no better place to continue that journey than at ASAE. I look forward to serving and working with the members of this great community, and alongside an incredibly talented staff.”
