Nearly 1400 Gather for Future Focused ASAE MMC+Tech Conference in DC
WASHINGTON— Nearly 1,400 association professionals, industry partners and other stakeholders gathered in Washington, DC, May 28–29 for ASAE’s 2026 Marketing, Membership, Communications + Tech (MMC+Tech) Conference, the association community’s premier event for marketing, membership, communications and technology professionals.
Held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, this year’s conference welcomed 906 association professionals, 364 exhibitors and more than 100 speakers and other registrants.
Centered around the theme “Bring On the Future,” MMC+Tech delivered expert-led, actionable learning designed to help association professionals strengthen their marketing, membership and communications strategies while embracing the increasingly essential role of technology in association management.
"MMC+Tech continues to be the premier gathering for association professionals who are shaping the future of engagement, growth and community,” said ASAE President and CEO Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE, AAiP. “This year's strong attendance reflects the association community's commitment to innovation and its eagerness to explore new strategies, technologies and ideas that will strengthen organizations and better serve members. As associations navigate a rapidly evolving environment, the insights, connections and solutions shared at MMC+Tech help leaders turn future-focused thinking into meaningful action."
MMC+Tech featured a dynamic lineup of Main Stage speakers, including opening keynote speaker Ann Handley, Chief Content Officer of MarketingProfs, a Wall Street Journal bestselling author and one of the individuals recognized by IBM as shaping modern marketing. Her presentation was sponsored by DelCor. Closing the conference was Sheri Jacobs, CEO of Avenue M Group and former board member of both ASAE and the ASAE Research Foundation, who led a timely and engaging conversation on The Art of Membership in the Age of Everything.
A sold-out Exhibitor Showcase provided attendees with valuable opportunities to connect with solution providers, discuss emerging challenges and discover innovative products and services designed to help associations achieve their goals and accelerate growth.
During the conference, ASAE also celebrated the recipients of its 2026 Gold Circle Awards, which recognize excellence and innovation in association marketing, membership and communications campaigns. On May 29, ASAE announced California Association for Leading Innovation in Education as the recipient of the prestigious Overall Excellence Award. The Gold Circle Awards are sponsored by ASAE Business Solutions, a portfolio of essential enterprise solutions designed to help associations grow and prosper.
ASAE extends its appreciation to its Alliance Partners for their continued support of the association community and ASAE events.
