ASAE Research Foundation Announces John H Graham Fund Scholarships for ReadyMe Program

April 26, 2023

WASHINGTON— The ASAE Research Foundation has announced it will utilize the John H. Graham Fund to award 20 scholarships to deserving applicants pursuing professional and personal development through ASAE’s ReadyMe Program.

ASAE’s ReadyMe Program formally launched last August during ASAE’s 2022 Annual Meeting & Exposition. The program provides a combination of virtual and in-person learning experiences that will build resilient and adaptable leaders by unlocking vital social skills and the career management acumen that are critical for advancement and success in the association industry. ReadyMe supports a key goal of ASAE’s strategic framework – to strengthen leadership pathways for association professionals. The online portion of participants’ ReadyMe journey is powered on the JUNOLIVE.COM platform.

The John H. Graham Fund was established in 2020 by the ASAE Board of Directors with the support of ASAE Past Chairs and ASAE Fellows, in celebration of the life and legacy of ASAE’s former president and CEO, John H. Graham IV, FASAE, CAE. The John H. Graham Fund is a restricted fund administered by the ASAE Research Foundation to support the development of research, resources, tools and programs to help associations in their DEI journey.

“The Past Chairs of ASAE were honored to help launch the John H. Graham DEI Fund because we all knew John’s passion for this mission in the association community,” said Susan Bitter Smith, FASAE, CAE, executive director of the Southwest Cable Communications Association and chair of the ASAE Past Chairs Roundtable. “The creation and now the implementation of this fund will allow ASAE to truly provide opportunities for members to learn and engage in this important work. John would be pleased.”

The scholarship application portal is now open through May 21, 2023. Applicants are required to respond to five written DEI topic prompts. Once the application process is closed, a steering and selection committee will select the 20 recipients. All applicants will be informed of selection no later than June 2, 2023.
