ASAE Names Debra Zabloudil Chief Product Officer

January 12, 2023

WASHINGTON— Debra Zabloudil, FACHE, has been named ASAE’s Chief Product Officer as of Jan. 9, ASAE President and CEO Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE, announced today.

Zabloudil, previously ASAE’s Vice President of Learning, will retain responsibility for the organization’s learning programs and signature events, but will now also be responsible for ASAE’s full portfolio of products and services, ensuring their strategic alignment with ASAE’s objectives and overall revenue growth priorities. In addition to Learning and Meetings & Events, Zabloudil will oversee ASAE’s Content Strategy, Credentialing and International Affairs.

“As expected, Debra has proven to be highly attuned to the needs of association professionals in a rapidly changing, competitive business environment,” Mason said. “As ASAE continues to evolve its strategic framework to meet the needs and expectations of its many stakeholders, it’s imperative to align the organization’s staffing resources to deliver on our organizational promise. I’m confident that Debra’s expanded role on ASAE’s team will pay dividends as we position ASAE for continued growth.”

“I’m excited to take on this new position and help align ASAE’s many products and services across the organization against our strategic goals,” Zabloudil said. “The goal of this team will be to create the most relevant and engaging portfolio of products and services for ASAE members to date.”

Zabloudil’s new role is part of an organizational realignment announced by Mason this month to give direction and support to ASAE’s long-term objectives. ASAE held a Leaders Retreat last fall where the organization’s volunteer leaders collaborated to update ASAE’s strategic framework to keep the organization responsive and future-focused. As ASAE progresses on a journey it calls Destination 2026, Mason has identified a Core Leadership Team with direct accountability for strategic priorities and success measures to ensure ASAE is focused and driving outcomes. A broader Leadership Team will also contribute to strategic conversations to ensure ASAE activities are supporting strategic priorities.

“ASAE is making great progress in its continued evolution and we are taking decisive steps to ensure we have the structure and leadership in place to create a community and culture that best serves our association leaders, industry partners and other stakeholders,” Mason said. “As we progress toward Destination 2026, ASAE is positioned to stay ahead of the curve with innovative, entrepreneurial thinking and an iterative strategy designed to advance our vibrant, diverse community.”
