GRAMMY-Nominated Cassadee Pope to Perform at ASAE’s Sold-Out Summit Awards

September 3, 2021

WASHINGTON— ASAE announced today that GRAMMY-nominated, Platinum-certified singer-songwriter Cassadee Pope will perform at ASAE’s sold-out Summit Awards on Sept. 30 at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC.

Pope, who is preparing to release her ninth album, titled THRIVE, this fall, was the lead vocalist and songwriter of the rock band Hey Monday, with whom she released two studio albums and three EPs. Pope embarked on a solo career in 2012 and took part in the third season of The Voice, becoming the first female winner of the program. Her debut solo country album, Frame by Frame, was released in 2013 and was top 10 on the Billboard 200. It debuted at No. 1 on Top Country Albums, with 43,000 copies sold in its first week.

“ASAE is thrilled to welcome Cassadee Pope to the 2021 Summit Awards later this month,” said ASAE President and CEO Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE. “ASAE’s long-time relationship with our partners in Nashville gives Summit Award attendees access to some of Music City’s top talent and this year is no exception. This will be the first in-person Summit Awards in two years and it’s sold out, so we thank the association community for its support. We look forward to seeing everyone on Sept. 30 and celebrating six associations that have gone above and beyond their every-day mission to have a meaningful impact on society.”

Gaylord Hotels, Music City Center and the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp (Nashville CVC) are longtime sponsors of the Summit Awards entertainment and the ASAE community.

“We are pleased to once again sponsor the entertainment for the Summit Awards,” said Butch Spyridon, president and CEO, Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp. “Cassadee Pope is another ‘hit’ for ASAE. The first female winner of The Voice has already established herself in Nashville. ASAE will not be disappointed!”

The Summit Awards is ASAE’s top recognition in The Power of A Awards, created to recognize associations that improve the quality of life through exemplary community-based programs. The event also supports The Power of A Fund, which supports ASAE’s advocacy efforts on behalf of the association community.
