WASHINGTON—ASAE invites candidates to apply for the 2015–2017 class of the Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP). Deadline for submissions is Monday, March 16, 2015. In August, DELP will celebrate 15 years at ASAE’s Annual Meeting & Exposition in Detroit, August 8-11. The Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau is the exclusive sponsor of DELP since 2001.

DELP is an accelerated leadership program of education and volunteer service in the association community. Association professionals who can demonstrate exemplary leadership skills and a commitment to advancing the association community are encouraged to apply.

Candidates who have at least three years of mid-senior level association management experience or at least one year of experience as an association CEO (as of the date of their application), and are members of a racial/ethnic minority group, lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender, or have a disability are encouraged to apply.

“In the past 15 years, DELP has developed into a program that provides diverse, successful professionals with the leadership skills and knowledge regarding the field of association management,” said ASAE President & CEO John H. Graham IV, FASAE, CAE. “Because of the great support from Larry Alexander of the Detroit Metro CVB, we have worked together to develop executive-level talent in the community and seen the positive results. I’m looking forward to continuing this partnership for years to come.”

During this two-year program, 12 DELP scholars will experience membership and volunteer service in ASAE. They will also have access to industry leaders who could serve as career coaches or mentors.
