ASAE Announces 142 Professionals Earned Prominent CAE Credential

WASHINGTON—One hundred forty-two association executives recently received their Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the CAE Commission of ASAE, joining more than 4,000 industry leaders worldwide.

WASHINGTON—One hundred forty-two association executives recently received their Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the CAE Commission of ASAE, joining more than 4,000 industry leaders worldwide.

The Winter 2014 class of CAEs successfully completed the CAE examination administered nationwide this winter. They will be honored, along with the Summer 2014 class of CAEs, during the 2014 ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition in Nashville, TN, August 9-12. A listing by state of the Winter 2014 class of CAEs can be found at the end of the release.

“On behalf of the CAE Commission, it is with great pleasure that I recognize the achievements of the 142 newly-certified association executives who have attained the highest level of professional competency in the area of association management,” said Steven C. Echard, IOM, CAE, chair of the CAE Commission. “The addition of these professionals to the rank of CAE has catapulted our numbers to more than 4,000—the highest number of association executives to ever hold the designation at one time since the inception of the CAE Program in 1960. We take great pride in knowing that these competent leaders are helping to improve the global community through their commitment and understanding the areas of association management.”

The CAE program serves to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and designate those who have acquired and can demonstrate knowledge essential to the practice of association management. The CAE program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
