Steven and Kylee,

Thanks for your comments on the article on questions to ask of a Mobile Application Developer. I am finding a great deal of interest with associations wanting to move forward with this type of application.
My main interest is in making sure they think through the process strategically -- i.e. a digital media plan -- and determine whether they have the staff to coordinate implementation or do they want assistance from the mobile app developer. In my opinion, it requires a close working relationship to make sure the goals of the organization are met. I'm available to discuss these questions at any time.

Great all-around "key point" list Dave! One element missing though is that for a mobile event application to be truly great for events specifically, it's important that the chosen developer has a good understanding of how to create the right context for access to the content. In other words, the developer should have experience with how attendees navigate an event. Too many of the B2B "event" apps I've seen are either simply lists of content elements, or were created by developers that clearly have a background in other app environments (gaming, etc.) and don't quite get how attendees prefer to navigate sessions, exhibits and the networking events available at the meeting.

Love this article, Dave! Very helpful laundry list of questions to ask the developer. Are you planning to discuss on any twitter chats or webinars coming up?
