Justine Medina is currently the Membership and Operations Manager at the Indigenous Journalists Association (IJA), formerly known as the Native American Journalists Association. Her day-to-day duties include administrative tasks for membership recruitment and retention, managing the overall communications plan for the organization and managing two programs the Indigenous Media Awards and the Indigenous Media Initiative. Justine started at IJA in July 2021 and wishes to continue to grow in the association community.

Justine’s previous roles include community organizer for California Native Vote Project, Native American recruiter for UCLA and UCI, and contracted work for Indigenous Circle of Wellness and HoganHorse Studio. She also served as a graduate assistant for the International Career Advancement Program at the University of Denver. 

Justine received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science from California State University of Los Angeles after transferring from Rio Hondo Community College, and a Master’s in International Administration from the University of Denver. She recently completed a non-profit management certificate from the University of Irvine Division of Career Path.
