Ben Yzaguirre has led the development of eLearning programs for the past 14 years and is currently the Director of Faculty Development and e-Learning at the American Dental Education Association (ADEA). In this role he manages the strategic direction of ADEA eLearn to assist in the professional development of dental educators. Mr. Yzaguirre also serves as the staff liaison to one of the seven governing Councils within ADEA, regularly interfacing with membership to guide the direction of the Council within the goals of the larger association.

Previously, he worked for six years within ASCO University, the digital education unit of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Starting as an individual contributor, Mr. Yzaguirre left ASCO as the Director of Digital Education. In this role he led a team in the design and development of webinars, self-assessments, asynchronous eLearning courses, mobile learning interventions and blended courses for a professional oncology audience. He was also the staff liaison to the ASCO University Editorial Board, a group of 16 oncology professionals that set the vision and priorities for ASCO University.

Mr. Yzaguirre also has experience in secondary education. His first role was as a high school social studies teacher, teaching Advanced Placement World History and Civics. Later, he transitioned to a      for-profit online curriculum company known as Educational Options, Inc; eventually leading a department of 25 curriculum developers.
