Description
Tax reform is heating up in Congress, with a House voted scheduled which will be followed by Senate review. Congressional leaders aim to pass the final package by August. Key proposals include expanding Unrelated Business Taxable Income (UBI) to include fringe benefits related to parking and transportation, as well as royalites from the sale or licensing of organizational names or logos. While the final package may look very different, we know that increased taxes on associations is a real threat. ASAE and its Community Impact Coalition (CIC), launched in January, have been working proactively to educate the 119th Congress on the essential social and economic role of associations and other tax-exempt organizations. Join this crucial session to gain real-time updates from Capitol Hill, hear directly from ASAE's leading advocates, and learn about the specific threats.
