Effective leadership is more than simply exercising traditional leadership skills such as active listening, collaboration, and decision making. Often it comes down to how you face and overcome the obstacles that get in your way—procrastination, lack of clarity, or personality conflicts, just to name a few. During this session, explore some of the biggest obstacles that every leader has to confront, shift your lens to see different tactics for overcoming them, and brainstorm solutions with your peers.

In this session you will:

  • identify the most common leadership obstacles
  • reflect on those obstacles, or others, that resonate with you
  • learn how to turn obstacles into advantages
  • discuss different approaches with colleagues
