ASAE Announces Mills Clement, Dea, and Deal-Williams, Receive Highest Individual Honors for Exceptional Leadership

WASHINGTON—ASAE today announced the three recipients of the Individual Honors for Exceptional Leadership which are bestowed upon professionals who have demonstrated exemplary support of ASAE, the association community and society at large. The 2021 winners include Michelle Mills Clement, FASAE, CAE, RCE, CEO of the Chicago Association of REALTORS®, who is recognized with this year’s Key Award; Donald Dea, FASAE, CoFounder, Fusion Productions, digitalNow, who received the Academy of Leaders Award; and Vicki Deal-Williams, MA, FASAE, CAE, Chief Staff Officer for Multicultural Affairs, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, who is honored with the Professional Performance Award.

ASAE’s 2021 Marketing, Membership & Communications Conference Attracts Hundreds of First-Time Attendees to Learn How to “Do Big Things”

WASHINGTON—ASAE’s virtual Marketing, Membership, & Communications Conference (MMCC) June 2-4, 2021, was attended by a strong mix of association professionals, industry partners, speakers, press, and vendors. Over forty-six (46) percent of registrants for this year’s MMCC were first-time attendees. The final attendance breakdown of 761 overall registrants included: 475 association professionals (includes 69 small-staff org members), 127 Industry Partners, 72 speakers of various designations, and 87 others including press, vendors, and staff. Additionally, there were 30 industry partner companies that participated in various registration & conversation packages, Insider Day demos, and Solution Chats, along with engagement through thought leadership supporter packages, such as the session tracks and keynotes. The ratio of buyers to sellers was 81 percent buyers to 19 percent sellers.

Caldeira, ASAE Board Chair and Co-Chair of the Search Committee, and President & CEO, Household & Commercial Products Association, Washington, DC, announced. She succeeds Susan Robertson, CAE.

ASAE Adds Graystone Consulting to Investment Solutions for Associations

WASHINGTON— The ASAE Investment Center announced today the addition of Graystone Consulting, a business of Morgan Stanley, to its suite of advisers in an effort to increase access for its member associations to professional investment management providers. WASHINGTON— Due to continued concerns for the health and safety of all members, industry partners, volunteer leaders, staff and other stakeholders during the COVID-19 pandemic, ASAE announced today that the ASAE 2021 Annual Meeting & Exposition will be held virtually, alongside smaller, regional hub meetings that can safely take place in person around the country. The dates for the 2021 Annual Meeting will be the week of August 16, 2021.
