Yadashe (Yadi) Belay, MSA
Director, Accreditation and Compliance

Yadashe (Yadi) Belay has been in the healthcare nonprofit association industry for 8 years and is currently the Director of Accreditation and Compliance at the American Psychiatric Association (APA). In this role, she provides strategic leadership in the development, implementation, revision, and maintenance of policies and procedures related to the APA’s continuing education accreditation compliance. She also oversees accreditation of all APA educational activities within the Division of Education, across the organization, and externally through the APA Joint Provider Program.

Yadi currently serves on the ASAE Young Professionals Advisory Committee, and volunteers as a Relationship Liaison for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Washington, DC (YNPNdc) Mentorship Program. She also participated in the 2021 ASAE NextGen Association Summit. Prior to joining the APA, she served as the Continuing Education (CE) Manager at the American Speech Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and worked as the Senior Associate, Conference Education at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.

Yadi received her Bachelor’s in Human Relations, and a Master of Science Administration in Organizational Management with a focus in Nonprofit Management and Public Health from Trinity Washington University.
