Engaging in ASAE as a Young Professional 

Professionals aged 35 and under who work at trade and professional associations, philanthropic organizations, and association management companies are eligible for Young Professional Membership. ASAE gives you access to practical resources and a vibrant community to develop your skills and knowledge, boost your job performance, and advance your association management career. Whether you are just starting out or looking to take your career to the next level, ASAE can help you meet your goals. 

Membership investment: $150 – over a 50% discount from the professional membership rate.  

ASAE membership terms are on an anniversary cycle, so you will renew on the anniversary of your join date. Your membership period is for one year. If your membership lapses beyond our 90-day grace period, your membership term will begin on the day you renew.

Building professional connections is a key factor of success. Networking allows you to develop professional relationships to share expertise, gain new ideas, and grow as a new practitioner.   

 

Advocacy 

  • Advocacy – ASAE's public policy team focuses on tax policy, financial services, commerce and workforce development. ASAE is heavily engaged in establishing policy that would increase workers' access to career-building credentials and skills training. Volunteer Opportunities  

  • YPAC – Get involved with the ASAE Young Professionals Advisory Committee. This committee is dedicated to developing opportunities for Young Professionals within ASAE and in the general association industry. You can engage with the committee during events or on the social media channels above or apply as a volunteer to be on the committee!

  • Opportunities – Check out ASAE volunteer opportunities to see when ASAE volunteer opportunities open and if they align with your interest and availability.

  • Peer Review Micro-Volunteering Opportunity – Serve as a peer reviewer for education session proposals submitted to ASAE meetings.
