“On behalf of the committee, I want to congratulate the 2021 awardees,” said Mark R. Nelson, Ph.D., MBA, CAE, 2020 chair of the IGP steering committee and Executive Director for the Merchant Acquirers' Committee. “It is never an easy task for the committee to make its selections among all the applications received, and this year we saw many high-quality proposals. The awardees selected this year reflected creativity and commitment to an innovation process with projects aligned to our theme of workforce development. We look forward to having them share their journey and add to the innovative efforts within the association community.”

During the last eight years, the ASAE Research Foundation has received more than 300 applications and awarded a total of 34 innovation grants to organizations of varied types, sizes, locations and industries. These numbers underscore the value of innovation in the association community.

“Since 2013, the Innovation Grants Program has helped associations discover solutions to emerging challenges affecting our community through innovation strategies,” said Sharon Moss, PhD, CAE, President of the ASAE Research Foundation. “We congratulate this year’s winners for their inspiring, creative projects and we look forward to seeing the results of their important work.
