Amy Ledoux to Lead Combined ASAE Learning & Meetings Departments

January 29, 2020

WASHINGTON— ASAE has combined its Learning and Meetings Department functions. This decision will enhance member experiences by formally connecting educational curriculum development and delivery with meetings experiences.

The move is designed to bring two interdependent, cooperative departments into one cohesive team that will work seamlessly to meet members’ needs for learning content, professional development and interpersonal connections to help them do their jobs better.

To oversee this essential operation, ASAE has named Amy Ledoux, CAE, CMP, as Chief Learning and Meetings Officer. Ledoux has been with ASAE for over 15 years as part of the ASAE Executive Team, leading ASAE’s Meetings & Expositions Department. Her 30 years of diverse association experience for both trade and professional include working at the Electronic Retailing Association as Vice President of Meetings & Conferences and as an adjunct faculty member in The George Washington University’s Event Management Certificate Program. In addition to her work at ASAE, she helped to create and act as co-instructor for two successful ASAE courses, the Business of Meetings Certificate Program in Leadership and Communications, and Essential Practices in Meetings Management.

“ASAE is continually looking at its operations and internal structuring to see how we can leverage our resources and our tremendous staff team to create the best experience for our members,” said Susan Robertson, CAE, interim ASAE president and CEO . “Amy is the ideal person to oversee this new team configuration. Her success and experience along with her recognition as an industry leader reflect her commitment to our members, and the entire association community.”

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the talented Learning and Meetings staff teams integrated under one umbrella,” Ledoux said. “Our missions are intertwined and our success is dependent on each other. Together, we will deliver valuable and unique learning experiences to our members to help them lead their organizations into the future.”
