It's Not You. It's Me: Breaking Up with a Component

Component relations professionals all know that chapters have lifecycles. How a chapter ends is cause for concern, policy review, and the occasional angst that every component relations professional will face at some point in his or her career. During the June Component Relations Virtual Roundtable, panelists shared their chapter dissolution or disaffiliation successes and war stories, including their core charter requirements and the triggers to dissolution or disaffiliation.

It happens to all of us at some point in our careers as component relations professionals: the end of a chapter, or the end of a chapter's relationship with the national organization.
