Frequently asked questions about this year’s Virtual Annual Meeting.
By now you probably know all about the 2010 ASAE & The Center Annual Meeting & Expo, but have you heard about the 2010 Virtual Annual Meeting? The virtual meeting will be held concurrently with the in-person Annual Meeting from August 21 to 24.
The Virtual Annual Meeting features program tracks in topics including social media, marketing and membership, governance and board relations, meetings, leadership, and more. Virtual attendees will have the ability to participate in any of the preselected education sessions that will be streamed live. Attendees will also have access to exclusive virtual events. In addition, attendees can access up to 70 on-demand Learning Lab sessions. On-demand archives are downloadable and can be accessed from August 21 through November 30.

How do I register for the Virtual Annual Meeting?

What are the registration costs for an attendee?
Nonmember: $795 (includes a one-year membership)
Consultant member: $895
Consultant nonmember: $1,195
What will the Virtual Annual Meeting look like?
Attendees will experience a virtual environment similar to a real-life convention hall. In addition to the main lobby, attendees will be able to navigate to an auditorium, networking lounge, and a resource center.
What do I need to do before I attend?
Approximately one week before the live Annual Meeting & Expo begins, virtual attendees will be granted access to the live online environment. We recommend that attendees log in during this orientation period to acquaint themselves with the technology, schedule of events, and networking opportunities, as well as update their profile.
Can I pay the registration fee and charge other ASAE & The Center members, chapters, or affiliates to attend in my conference room?
No. The Virtual Annual meeting is copyrighted by ASAE & The Center. To "sell" seats to others violates our policy.
What is your cancellation policy?
Registrants who cancel in writing before August 13 will be refunded the registration fee after a $75 administrative charge. Cancellations not received by the date required will not be eligible for a refund. No shows will not be refunded. Cancellation requests should be sent to [email protected]
What days and times will the Virtual Annual Meeting be live?
The live Virtual Annual Meeting officially begins on August 21 and continues through August 24. The live sessions include (all times reflected in Eastern Time):
Three General Sessions:
- Sunday, August 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.: Seven Lessons for Leading in Crisis
- Monday, August 23 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.: A View of the Industry–A Celebration and Future Focus!
- Tuesday, August 24 from 12:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.: Mojo: How to Get it, How to Keep it, How to Get it Back if You Lose it
21 Thought Leader and Education Sessions:
- Sunday, August 22 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Monday, August 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
- Tuesday, August 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
How were the education sessions selected?
Sessions were selected from the onsite Annual Meeting and were chosen to incorporate content applicable to the majority of our virtual audience.
Will I earn CAE hours?
Full participation in the live Virtual Annual Meeting from August 21 to 24 is eligible for up to 12 CAE credits. Partial participation is calculated on an hour-for-hour basis (one clock hour is equal to one CAE credit). Only live participation is eligible for CAE credit; audio/video recordings of this meeting are not eligible for CAE credit.
