Tangela Monroe joined the American Institute of Architects, Georgia Association in 2010 and currently serves as the Assistant Director. She is responsible for leading key aspects of the association to include general administration, communications, real estate, technology, board elections, chapter relations, continuing education, documents resource center and annual conference.

Tangela is a member of Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE) and actively volunteers her time with the Atlanta Center for Creative Inquiry (ACCI), a non-profit organization geared to introduce minority high school students to the professions of architecture, engineering and construction.

Tangela holds a Bachelor degree in Chemistry and a Masters in Business Administration from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
