Leah Jones has been involved in the convention management industry for 13 years, and she is the director of meetings and events for Auto Care Association. She is manages the meetings and events for all of ACA’s segment, committee and managed affiliations. Her responsibilities include meeting planning, site selection, contract negotiation and on-site logistics. She also manages the coordinator and associate positions of the meetings and events department, overseeing their performance and responsibilities.

Prior to joining ACA in 2004, Leah was a sales coordinator at the Starwood Hotels and Resorts Global Sales Office in Washington, DC. She was responsible for supporting national sales directors in servicing their accounts, including receiving and researching conference leads, monitoring achievement of sales goals, and maintaining communication between Starwood properties and client organizations. She also assisted in the coordination of major sales and networking events between the global sales office, individual Starwood properties and client association attendees.

Leah is a nine-year member of the Professional Convention Management Association and is the 2014 chair for the Sponsorship Committee of its Capital Chapter. Before joining the Sponsorship Committee, she served as co-chair for the education sub-committee of the Emerging Professionals Committee.

Jones earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2001 and earned the professional designation of certified meeting professional in 2010.
