Deborah Chin is a dedicated association leader with over 31 years of experience in nonprofit management. She also serves in several other leadership capacities as the treasurer of The ERISA Industry Committee PAC; vice president, administration, Employer Foundation for Life Security; secretary of ERIC, and fiduciary and trustee of the ERIC Profit Sharing Plan.

At ERIC, she serves as a member of the senior management team to advance the strategic mission of ERIC as it serves its stakeholders. As CAO, she is responsible for administration, operations, financial management and oversight, human resources, meeting planning, member services, web site, and information technology. In addition, she directs the support staff and participates in revenue generation and expense management. She is also a liaison to the Board of Directors.

Previously, Deborah served as director, registration & housing for The Direct Marketing Association where she managed a staff of 8-50 conference registrars who handled 25,000 convention and meeting registrations. She has also served as director of administration and editor, Search Connection at the Association of Executive Search Consultants. Prior to 1993, Deborah served concurrent roles at the New York City Association of Life Underwriters and the New York Chapter, International Association for Financial Planning including administrative director, managing editor, The Bulletin, and managing director, Manhattan Branch. For four years, Deborah operated DC Management Resources, providing publishing, sales and fundraising, event planning, and management services to insurance agencies and non-profit organizations.

Deborah currently serves as the past chair of the CAE Community Outreach Committee (CCOC) of ASAE. She has been serving as a member of the CCOC since 2008. She has been involved with preparing CAE candidates through mentoring individual CAE candidates and study groups, participating in CAE Chats, and writing CAE exam study aids. She was a content leader and facilitator at ASAE’s CAE Immersion Course.

Deborah’s past community service includes serving as a member the Board of Trustees of the Bay Theatre Company, running community blood drives, and serving as a eucharistic minister at her church.
