Cheval Breggins has more than 25 years of leadership experience, and is the executive director of the Florida Psychological Association. He is responsible for leading a 1,400 professional association member organization in the areas of nonprofit management and governance, strategic planning, government relations, membership recruitment/retention, fundraising, financial management, and volunteer leadership facilitation.

Before relocating to Tallahassee, Florida, Cheval was the executive director of the Michigan Psychological Association. He served as an adjunct faculty member at Cornerstone University, Davenport University, and Northwood University teaching marketing and leadership classes to undergraduate and graduate students. He was an instructor for the Michigan Association of School Boards facilitating strategic planning, goal-setting, and board member development workshops.

Cheval is the 2015 chair-elect for the Council of Executives of State and Provincial Psychological Association’s executive committee and is responsible for mentor recruitment, mentor-mentee partnering, development of an evaluation tool of the new executive director mentor program, and the establishment of a peer-to-peer support group. He is on the Tallahassee Rotary public relations committee and sponsorship committee of the NFL Flag Football Tallahassee program. He has served as board member of The Entrepreneur Institute of Mid-Michigan, vice-chair of the Waverly Community School Board, board member of the Greater Lansing Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Commission, and commissioner of the Greater Lansing Martin Luther King Holiday Celebration Commission.

Cheval Breggins has received the Outstanding Young Man Award. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Oberlin College (Oberlin, Ohio), double majoring in Communication and Psychology. He has a Master of Business Administration-Marketing degree from the University of Phoenix and has completed all coursework toward a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Business Administration-Marketing from Northcentral University.
