Jonathan Adams, CAE

Jonathan Adams has been leading the IT department at the Water Quality Association (WQA) since 2015. In his role as Director of Information Technology, he oversees the streamlined operation of the IT department and ensures alignment with the business objectives of the Association. At WQA, Jonathan uses his time and talents to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and experience of internal staff as well as WQA members and clients. Jonathan has over 12 years of experience and expertise across several areas of technology, including systems administration, networking, security, web development, and solutions delivery. Prior to joining WQA, Jonathan served as the Associate Director of IT for VML, a global advertising agency. At VML Jonathan focused on strategy, design, and implementation of solutions to enhance IT infrastructure across the Chicago and Kalamazoo offices. 

Jonathan serves as a member of the Welcoming Environment Committee for the Association Forum as well as serving as co-liaison for the WQA THRIVE Advisory Council both groups look for ways to further diversity equity and inclusion within the association and water treatment industries respectively 

In addition to being a Certified Scrum Master, Jonathan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from Eastern Illinois University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
