WASHINGTON — ASAE Foundation, with major support from SunTrust Foundation, has selected four winning projects for its Innovation Grants Program (IGP), which received 55 applications this year. Each winner will receive up to $10,000, and they will be recognized during ASAE’s 2015 Great Ideas Conference, March 8–10, 2015, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando.

The four winners are:

  • American Library Association, Chicago, IL
  • Arizona Community Action Association, Phoenix, AZ
  • California Association of Health Facilities, Sacramento, CA
  • PCMA Education Foundation, Chicago, IL

“The committee has been amazed by the different ideas submitted this year, and it was a difficult decision,” said Matthew R. D’Uva, CAE, FASAE, chair of the IGP steering committee and president and CEO of Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals International. “We had proposals ranging from a mobile app to assist with managing responses during a disaster to developing a measurement system that will enable organizations to capture and share ROI generated by community engagement activities. All of the winning projects will make a difference for their members and in their communities as well as contribute to the innovation of all associations with their thoughtful ideas and implementation. Congratulations!”

ASAE Foundation received applications from organizations of varied types, sizes, locations, and industries.

“Associations play a critical role in their community as well as impact the global society. SunTrust Foundation understands the value associations bring and want to help foster innovation,” said Vince Wesley, Senior Vice President, and Manager of the SunTrust Not-for-Profit and Government Team in Washington, DC. “We see these innovation grants as an opportunity to help organizations advance their mission, so they can continue making a difference for their members, constituents, and industries they serve.”
