WASHINGTON—ASAE issues the following statement on the passing of Bill Taylor, former Chairman of the Board and President & CEO of ASAE.

ASAE joins the association community as we mourn the passing of R. William Taylor, CAE this past weekend. Bill first served ASAE as a committed volunteer leader in numerous capacities rising to Chairman of the Board in 1974-1975. In 1976, Bill received ASAE’s highest award for volunteer service, The Key Award. Then in 1982, Bill joined the staff of ASAE and served as President & CEO until 1998 where he had a lasting and profound impact on the growth of ASAE and the development of the profession of association management.
