2013 ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition Names Evening Entertainment for Opening, The Classic, Closing Night Celebrations

WASHINGTON—In eight weeks, more than 5,500 association industry professionals will gather in Atlanta for the 2013 ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition on August 3-6. Attendees will enjoy music from the Go-Go’s, Yacht Rock Revue, and World Classic Rockers.

WASHINGTON—In eight weeks, more than 5,500 association industry professionals will gather in Atlanta for the 2013 ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition on August 3-6. Attendees will enjoy music from the Go-Go’s, Yacht Rock Revue, and World Classic Rockers.

The Opening Night Celebration will take place at Pemberton Place with events inside the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca-Cola, on Saturday, August 3. Attendees will experience the home to the world’s largest fish, the Whale Shark, and more than 100,000 creatures in the Georgia Aquarium. Next door at the World of Coca-Cola, individuals will be able to taste more than 60 beverages, investigate more than 1,200 historical artifacts and monitor the interactive Instagram wall. Entertainment will feature the Go-Go’s and food will be catered by Wolfgang Puck.

On Monday, August 5, the ASAE Foundation’s The Classic event will be at the historic Fox Theatre. For The Classic VIP Reception from 5:30.-7:00 p.m., attendees will go back in time to the mystique of a Middle Eastern Palace in the Grand Salon and pharaohs in the Egyptian Ballroom. The Classic event from 7:00–10:00 p.m., will feature culinary delights from Spain and local legends Yacht Rock Revue will play 70’s rock music. Attendees can also participate in a live rock band karaoke on the famed stage of the Fox. All ticket sales directly support the work of the ASAE Foundation.

The Closing Night Celebration on Tuesday, August 6 will be at Centennial Olympic Park. Attendees will explore different beltway neighborhoods, including Downtown’s historic district, Midtown, Buckhead, and Virginia-Highland, through food, music, and entertainment. Headlining the event will be the World Classic Rockers, featuring former members of Journey, Boston, Santana, Steppenwolf, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
