ASAE Announces 2013 Gold Circle Award Winners

ASAE announces the winners of the 2013 Gold Circle Award (GCA) competition that recognizes excellence, innovation, and achievement in association/nonprofit marketing, membership, and communications programs.

WASHINGTON — ASAE announces the winners of the 2013 Gold Circle Award (GCA) competition that recognizes excellence, innovation, and achievement in association/nonprofit marketing, membership, and communications programs. Winners will receive their awards during the Gold Circle Awards ceremony on June 5 at the 2013 ASAE Membership, Marketing and Communications Conference in Washington, DC.  

During the awards ceremony, one winner will be selected as the overall winner and receive the Gold Circle Award for Overall Excellence, formally known as the Council's Choice Award. The 2013 competition received the highest number of entries with more than 175 entries. The Communications, Marketing, and Membership councils collaborated for this year's awards.

"This year we had the highest number of submissions ever for the Gold Circle Award program," said Lauren Janik, director, marketing for TMA Resources and chair of the Gold Circle Awards Committee. "There were many great examples of marketing, membership and communication programs and tactics from associations and nonprofits, which often made it difficult for judges to select which one should receive the Gold Circle Award."

Entries for the GCA competition were evaluated in each category based on established criteria for excellence in association marketing, membership, and communication programs. Judges were experienced marketing, membership, and communication professionals from associations, nonprofits, and for-profit organizations.
