ASAE Foundation Innovation Grant Program Launches September 20

WASHINGTON — ASAE Foundation new Innovation Grant Program (IGP) applications will be available starting tomorrow. The grants will provide awards to inspire and support innovation exploration and development as well as raise the visibility of associations’ efforts in this space.

Deadline to submit a proposal is November 30. ASAE Foundation is looking for a diversity of proactive and creative ideas that help propel association management in the areas of leadership development, technology, marketing, membership and community engagement, product development and business practices. There will be up to four grants awarded in three categories: travel, exploration or hybrid (a combination of travel and exploration). Grant recipients will receive awards of up to $10,000 with SunTrust Foundation being a major supporter of this initiative.

“The grants are an exciting way to showcase innovation within our community – and a wonderful opportunity for ASAE to raise awareness about the innovation efforts that are occurring in the association sector. Hopefully, they will inspire associations to think about how we can deliver the best value from our programs and identify creative new ways to execute our content,” said Chairman-Elect, ASAE Chairman of ASAE Foundation Arlene Pietranton, Ph.D., FASAE, CAE, Chief Executive Officer of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

The target audiences for the IGP grants are individuals representing large- and small-sized professional organizations, trade associations, consultants, or industry partners. Criteria and details about the application process lives in this section of the ASAE’s website.

“There are many organizations trying fresh ways to distribute their content and services, and this grant opportunity is an excellent approach for us to learn and share these endeavors. It’s always a goal for the Foundation to inspire, educate, and connect professionals, so they can find new techniques and means to take their association to the next level,” said ASAE Executive Vice President and President of the ASAE Foundation Susan Robertson, CAE.
