WASHINGTON — ASAE is pleased to announce President & CEO John H. Graham IV, CAE, was selected as the 2013 Association Executive of the Year by Association TRENDS. Graham will receive his award during the Salute to Association Excellence event on February 15, 2013, at The Capital Hilton in Washington, DC.
“I’m truly honored in receiving this award,” said John H. Graham IV, CAE. “Throughout my career, I’ve always strived to educate different publics about the value of associations in our society. Our community faced several challenges this year, and our members came together to advocate on these issues, which could have impacted how we provided services and learning opportunities for the members we represent. Next year, my goal is to continue to raise awareness about policy issues and moving the association profession forward.”
The Association Executive of the Year Award is awarded to the chief staff executive of a national association or professional society, who has shown exemplary leadership and embodies the very best values of professionalism, creativity, and commitment to the association community.
“Congratulations to John on being selected as Association Executive of the Year. John is a strategic thinker who understands how new technology and trends will impact the association community. Because of his leadership, ASAE is considered to be a thought and advocacy leader,” said ASAE Chairman Joseph M. McGuire, CAE, president of the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers. “He is always available to provide advice and be a sounding board for leaders in our community.”
