WASHINGTON — ASAE announces Hong Kong Tourism Board has signed-on as an event partner, which is the first Alliance Partner to join from outside of North America.
WASHINGTON — During the 2012 ASAE Marketing, Membership and Communications Conference (MMCC) yesterday, ASAE announced that the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons won the annual 2012 Council’s Choice Award for its “Decide to Drive” campaign. The winner was selected by the Communication Section Council from among 2012 Gold Circle Award winners as the most outstanding example in association communications.
“I am proud of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons as this year’s recipient of the Council’s Choice Award,” said ASAE President and CEO John H. Graham IV, CAE. “Their campaign was very creative and used multi-media to help raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving.”
The 2012 Council’s Choice Award recipient was presented the award by Francine Hamme, the vice chair of the Gold Circle Award committee, at the annual Gold Circle Award Ceremony.
“We are honored to receive this award from ASAE,” said Karen L. Hackett, FACHE, FASAE, CAE chief executive officer of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. “There are so many dangers with distracted driving, and we wanted to raise peoples’ awareness through a creative, multimedia campaign, which turned out to be very successful. I’m extremely proud of our PR team in how they created and implemented this campaign, and we hope it will make a difference in saving lives on the road.”
