WASHINGTON — Is there someone in the association community that has inspired you, made a difference in your professional life, or played a key role in the success of your organization? ASAE has opened the call for nominations to recognize outstanding leaders in the association community for ASAE’s three highest honors with The Key Award, The Professional Performance Award, and The Academy of Leaders Award.

Here’s a brief description for each award, and individuals are limited to submitting one, special nominee for each one:

  • The Key Award honors the association CEO who demonstrates exceptional qualities of leadership in his or her own association and displays a deep commitment to voluntary membership organizations as a whole. This year's winner will join a history of other recipients who have been recognized since 1960.
  • The Professional Performance Award recognizes the invaluable contributions made by association executives who are at the top levels of their organizations, but they are not CEOs. These executives distinguish themselves every day and deserve an honor for exceptional contributions to their associations as well as our profession.
  • The Academy of Leaders Award is given to industry partners and consultants who demonstrate exemplary support of the association community. The award recognizes an individual who represents an organization engaged in the sale of products or services to members of ASAE and who has made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the profession.

Nominations are due no later than April 1 to Peggy Dowd, [email protected]. The Awards Committee will meet on May 24th and make its selections. The Key, Professional Performance, and Academy of Leaders honorees will be recognized during the 2012 Annual Meeting & Exposition in Dallas, August 11-14, 2012.
