This year, ASAE’s Annual Meeting & Exposition boasts two General Sessions, to open and close the meeting; three thought-provoking Game Changers sessions; more than a hundred 75-minute Learning Labs on key functional areas of association and nonprofit management; ten discussion forums facilitated by association professionals; intensive half-day workshops on business model innovation, governance and membership; Ignite: a series of five-minute presentations on a diverse number of topics; and lots of networking.
“We’re taking the ‘Super Bowl of Conventions’ to St. Louis this year, the ‘Gateway to the West,’ for what’s going to be another outstanding experience for association and meeting professionals,” said ASAE President and CEO John H. Graham IV, CAE. “This is the biggest networking and learning event for the association community and we’re thrilled about meeting in St. Louis. St. Louis’ location at the heart of the nation and its impressive list of attractions will make for an excellent destination to host an event of this magnitude. It also ensures that the majority of participants will have easy, affordable access to the convention.”
“ASAE will bring the best and brightest in the association world to St. Louis,” said Kathleen “Kitty” Ratcliffe, president of the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission. “We look forward to providing ASAE members with a high-energy experience and showcasing the perfect environment that St. Louis offers for work and play.”
The event will officially kick off on the grounds of the “Gateway to the West,” the famous Gateway Arch and one of the best known attractions in this highly acclaimed destination. Attendees will enjoy an evening of food, drinks and live music under the majestic Arch, and experience a Taste of St. Louis—from Ragtime to Blues to Rock ‘n’ Roll to Rap. Headliners include former Doobie Brother Michael McDonald, the St. Louis Blues Review, local Jazz songstress Erin Bode and Hip-Hop from the St. Louis’ own Chingy. Read more
