WASHINGTON, DC — ASAE issued the following statement on the passing of Jon Grove, CAE:
"ASAE and the association community will sorely miss Jon Grove, former Executive Vice President of ASAE from 1982-1998. Jon ran our budget process, our committee process and our Annual meeting. He also served as staff liaison to the Allied Partners Council, Key Professional Association Committee, Allied Society Program Steering and Local/State/Regional Association Committee," said ASAE President and CEO John H. Graham IV, CAE. "I’ve known Jon for 25 years, and I first met him when I was working at the American Diabetes Association. He led a group for number two’s in other organizations, and his leadership skills inspired me, and I’ve incorporated aspects of his leadership style throughout my career. He not only played an instrumental role here at ASAE, but with our community. He always showed tremendous leadership, and he will be missed."
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 22, 11 a.m., at Church of the Good Shepherd, United Methodist, located at 2351 Hunter Mill Road, Vienna, VA 22181.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jon's memory to:
