The Association Office Greening Program, launched in the summer of 2014, funds grants for office greening reviews conducted by Green Seal for ASAE member associations in the Washington, DC area. In serving as a champion and role model for Corporate Social Responsibility, the ASAE Foundation supports efforts by associations to adopt environmentally sound and legally compliant policies and procedures in their offices. ASAE and the Foundation are proud to collaborate with Whiteford, Taylor & Preston in support of this exciting new pilot initiative. This program will support ASAE and the ASAE Foundation’s efforts to cultivate a culture of corporate social responsibility in the association community.
Green Seal has established criteria for associations and others to become what they call Green Seal partners by meeting these standards. For this program, Green Seal will review the applications with ASAE and Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, select up to 15 associations in the Washington, DC area, conduct the review, and provide information and recommendations to association staff to raise awareness about adopting and sustaining environmentally responsible best practices.
