ASAE Foundation Announces SunTrust Foundation Renews Commitment to Innovation Grant Program

WASHINGTON—ASAE Foundation is pleased to announce that the SunTrust Foundation is renewing its funding for the Innovation Grant Program (IGP). It will provide up to four grants worth up to $10,000 each. The IGP launched last year to support innovation exploration, development, and raise awareness about the innovation efforts within the association community.

WASHINGTON—Last week, more than 3,200 association and meeting professionals gathered at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC to attend three key ASAE events: the Association International Conference, held May 14-16, the Springtime Expo, May 16, and ASAE Foundation’s Annual Springtime DC Golf & Tennis Invitational , May 17.

WASHINGTON—Due to Hurricane Sandy last year, ASAE had to postpone the In Honor of Women event on November 2. The luncheon and awards has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 29 from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at The Fairmont in Washington, D.C.

ASAE Debuts New Diversity + Inclusion Benchmarking Tool for Association Management

WASHINGTON—Today, ASAE is introducing the first Diversity + Inclusion (D+I) tool for associations called the Association Inclusion Index. It’s an online, diagnostic tool that evaluates D+I policies, philosophies, and practices against community standards. The tool offers strategies and solutions for expanding an organization’s reach, relevance and reputation through practicing inclusive excellence. It focuses on five key D+I performance domains in associations which are: Mission and Focus, Roles and Leadership Accountability, Resources, Operations, and Communication and Culture.

WASHINGTON—ASAE is pleased to announce that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has gotten a preliminary injunction against the Construct Data/Fair Guide scam that many ASAE members have received, and ASAE has been working with the FTC to stop this scam.
