SAFE (Small Association Forum for Executives) Calendar
SAFE is a complimentary executive peer roundtable for small-staff association executives. The roundtable, which is sponsored by ASAE's Small Staff Association Committee, is a free-flowing discussion around the most pressing issues facing executives with 10 or fewer employees. This forum allows for collaboration of like-minded executives to address their unique issues in a collegial peer setting.
SAFE meetings currently occur on a bi-monthly basis in alternating Northern Virginia locations (NOVA SAFE) and at ASAE's downtown Washington, DC headquarters (DC SAFE) for small-staff association executives to discuss a variety of thought leadership topics, generate best practices among participants and create a valuable cadre of professional resources.
Note about participation: SAFE is intended to provide a safe space for small staff association executives to discuss their challenges with other small staff association executives. SAFE meetings are open to association executives only unless otherwise designated. All consultants/industry partners who may attend select SAFE meetings must be current ASAE members. Association executive non-members are invited and welcome to attend one (1) SAFE meeting, but should they choose to participate in future SAFE gatherings it is requested that they join ASAE. Please contact the Member Relations department for more information on ASAE’s membership options.
Although SAFE meetings are currently only taking place in the greater Washington DC area, we'd love to take this valuable and always sold-out gathering national! If you are a small staff association executive who might be interested in hosting and/or moderating SAFE meetings in your city, please contact Meredith Bower-Holt, primary staff liaison to the Small Staff Association Committee, at email@example.com.
