The Wisconsin Society of Association Executives recently published a white paper, "Innovation for Associations," that lists some of the core principles of innovative associations—as well as some of its barriers. What are the four things standing in your way? According to the white paper, they are:
- Diffuse leadership;
- Low tolerance for risk;
- Unwillingness to commit resources;
- Complex organizational structures.
Visit www.wsae.org to read the complete white paper. WSAE has also launched a website, Innovation Hub for Associations, designed to spark conversation around the white paper and to test its findings. To learn more and sign up, visit http://innovation.conferencespot.org.
