Data Nugget: Fundraising Frustration

ASSOCIATIONS NOW, April/May 2013 Money & Business

Summary: A survey of nonprofits shows that fundraising directors are unhappy with their jobs, and their executive directors aren't happy with their performance.

Fundraisers are unhappy with their jobs. 50 percent of nonprofit development directors who say they plan to leave their jobs in the next two years.

Meanwhile, executive directors are unhappy with their fundraisers. 53 percent of nonprofit executive directors who say their most recent search for a development director yielded an insufficient number of qualified applicants.
